💷 Insurers paid out a record £209 million in individual Income Protection claims in 2025 — and nearly 1 in 5 of those payouts (19%) were for mental health, not just physical illness or injury.

💷 Critical Illness Cover paid out £1.25 billion in individual claims in 2025, with almost two-thirds (65%) for cancer.

Both types of cover are paying out again and again for real people, for all sorts of reasons. The real risk isn't whether it'll pay out — it's not having it in place. 🤗
