Save the date! 18th & 19th May 2024 | 2pm-5pm
Peover Hall & Gardens will open up its doors again this year for the National Garden Scheme in order to raise funds for charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Hospice UK and the Queen’s Nursing Institute.
As in previous years the tearooms will be open serving refreshments, including homemade cakes and cream teas. There will also be a plant stall (many of the plants grown in the gardens) for you to purchase, plus tours of Peover Hall will be taking place throughout the day with Mr Brooks himself.
Tickets can be purchased via www.peoverhall.co.uk or alternatively you can pay at the gate. Fingers crossed for nice weather!

The Tatton Estate has recently commissioned Robinson Forestry to undergo a series of tree surveys across the estate, including Knutsford Heath.

Charles Robinson, founder of Robinson Forestry, talks about the upcoming works to trees on the heath, helping to preserve the trees and to keep everyone safe.

On Wednesday 27th September, Tatton events alongside the Tatton Estate are delighted to host The Cheshire Ploughing Match at Ashley Hall Showgrounds.

This is one of the many community events we host totally free of charge. Volunteer ran, it celebrates the skills vital to preserve and enhance our rural environment.

A great day out for those in the trade and those just wanting to see these amazing horses, skills and machines!

** UPDATE **

This is the fourth group of travellers who have illegally taken occupation of Knutsford Heath recently. This group we understand have cut through the fence, the Estate have recently repaired and were abusive and threatening to us and local residents from the outset.

Cheshire Police have this morning evicted them for which we are most grateful. However, they have not questioned the group, cautioned or prosecuted them for the multiple illegal acts, we feel the police are intimidated and afraid of travellers therefore fail to protect us and the community as a whole. The police consistently prevent the Estate and members of the public from preventing them access.

It has been a huge struggle until now to get the police to use their powers and we have worked hard raising this on social media, with Police Commissioner John Dwyer and our MP Esther McVey has contacted Chief Constable Mark Roberts.

The Tatton Estate will again commence the work and cover the expense of repairing the criminal damage, removing the waste etc.

Knutsford Heath is a valued asset for our community and we all wish to see this effort and limited budget spent on improvement and not endlessly making good after these wilful acts of vandalism.

We greatly thank the public who have been so supportive, including reporting to us, the police and sharing these concerns on social media.

Another group of travellers have broken and entered, are threatening and are illegally on private land. Please call 999 to ask the police to act. So far officers have only acted by forcing out agents to remove their vehicles to allow more vehicles in!!
