What does the almighty LinkedIn algorithm consider to be 'relevant and meaningful engagement'?
Comments, shares, and interactions from people in a relevant field who've understood and thought about your post.
I.e., not generic comments from random people.
β That's definitely not going to extend the reach of your post β
But how do we attract the right kind of engagement?
We'll admit that this one is less of a 'hack' and is going to take some trial and error, but here's a strategy to try:
Ask a question that coaxes an opinion or insight from your audience.
Posing the right questions position you as an industry thought leader and encourages those meaningful conversations that LinkedIn cherishes so much.
The responses you get from these questions also provide the chance to learn more about your audience's interests.
Use this information to refine and develop even more relevant content that they'll lap up.
π‘ Final tip π‘
Join the conversation yourself.
Always, always, ALWAYS respond to comments on your post.
Don't be that person who posts and ghosts, never to be seen again π»
Not only is that off-putting for anyone who has taken the time to leave their thoughts on your content, but LinkedIn itself wants to see an active conversation play out in the comments section.
