Big thanks to Stuart Aitken and the team at Aitken Design for producing my Equity Release leaflets and distributing them in the ML6 6 and ML6 9 Postcodes.

After more studying, of which I find a challenge!!, I am delighted to have achieved today the Society of Later Life lending standard by SOLLA. This standard is awarded, as the name suggests, to advisers who have studied, applied and sat an exam on assisting clients who are looking at later life lending in the form of Equity release and similar options around this type of lending. In addition to this, it is centrally focussed on dealing with later life clients and the key considerations that this brings.

I now have the retirement standard and Later Life standard achieved….2 down and 1 to go!!

I’m delighted to have been awarded the retirement standard by SOLLA (Society of Later Life Advisers) as I work towards my full accreditation with them. This standard is awarded after demonstrating qualifications, knowledge around this area and assessment of case studies around people who required advice at retirement. This is assessed and it met the requirements and therefore the award was given.

When investing, whether this is in your pension, ISA, Bond or whatever product is appropriate for you, please ensure you are invested with an Independent financial adviser to ensure they are not restricted and also free to choose investments that are 'best of breed' in terms of charges and performance. The difference can be huge for you.
