8 YEARS OF COVERMYBUBBLE 🥹🌈

Sometimes you’ve got to stop and actually look at how far you’ve come.

8 years ago, CoverMyBubble was an idea.

Today, I get to work alongside my hubby and an incredible team, helping families sort their life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection and children’s cover.

We’ve covered thousands of bubbles.

And since we started, we’ve helped with £1.9 MILLION in claims payouts. 🤯

That number means more to me than any sales figure ever could.

Because behind every claim is a person or family going through a time they probably never imagined they’d face and we’ve been there to help them through it.

I’m bloody proud of what we’ve built. ❤️

And if there’s one thing 8 years in business has taught me…

Not everybody will understand what you’re building.
Not everybody will support you.
Some will tell you it won’t work.
Some might even secretly hope it doesn’t.

Do it anyway.

8 years later… we’re still here. And we’re only getting started. 🌈🫶🏼

This needs documenting because tonight, at 46 years old, I FINISHED A WHOLE PIZZA for the first time in my life 🤣

I never finish pizza. Ever.

I’m blaming Northern Dough because their dough is bloody amazing. We keep it in the freezer, defrost it when we fancy pizza and chuck whatever we want on top. So easy and honestly better than a takeaway.

Chris and I had such a giggle making them tonight too. Just us being idiots in the kitchen as usual 😂

So a little shoutout to Northern Dough because I love supporting a small business when we genuinely love what they make.

And apparently they’ve achieved the impossible… Emma ate the crusts and everything 👏🏻🤣

Now tell me — what’s your favourite pizza topping?

Twenty years.

Twenty years since we had to say goodbye.

Twenty years of living with a pain no parent should ever have to carry.

Twenty years of wondering who you would have become.

Twenty years of all the “what ifs” that will never have answers.

What would you have looked like now?

Would you have had my stubborn streak or your dad’s sense of humour?

Would you have been close to your brothers?

Would you have loved dogs as much as we do?

Twenty years of missed cuddles.

Missed giggles.

Missed birthdays.

Missed milestones.

Missed memories that should have been ours.

Twenty years of imagining family holidays with you there.

Imagining Christmases, school plays, driving lessons, boyfriends, big dreams, and all the ordinary moments that become so precious.

I can still picture you as my tiny baby.

I can imagine you as a little girl.

But I struggle to picture you at twenty.

Because you never got the chance to grow up.

People often say time heals.

I’ve learnt that it doesn’t.

Life grows around the grief, but the love never gets any smaller, and neither does the space you should still fill in our family.

Losing you changed me forever.

But it also became the reason Cover My Bubble exists.

Every family we help.

Every claim we fight for.

Every child we help cover.

Every parent who gets support when life turns upside down…

That’s because of you.

Your life, although heartbreakingly short, continues to make a difference every single day.

I will always wonder who you would have been.

I will always wish we had more time.

And I will always, always love you.

Twenty years since we said goodbye.

Forever loved.

Forever missed.
