The Bank of England has increased interest rates for the second time in 3 months to 0.5% from 0.25% in an attempt to tackle inflation.

What does the interest rate rise mean to you? Will your mortgage repayments increase? 🏡

Some key points for mortgage holders:

- Standard variable rate (SVR). Lenders may increase their standard variable rates which would mean you repayments would increase. Your lender will be in contact with you to advise how the increase affects your repayments.

- Tracker rate – Your monthly repayments will increase as your mortgage is tracking the Bank Of England rate. Your lender will be in contact with you to advise how the increase affects your repayments.

- Fixed rates - No change to your monthly repayments. BUT lock back in again now if yours is coming to an end soon.
