⭐️ After a terrific Great Wines World yesterday, with more than 2,000 people in attendance, I stopped in for dinner with a friend at one of my favorites, . As always, it delivered pristine seafood and beautifully fresh ingredients, along with a smart list of Greek wines. We drank an amphora white from Santorini and a bottle of T-Oinos Clos Stegasta, which I consider one of the country’s best producers.

⭐️ In Spain, a whole leg of Jamón Ibérico sits proudly in homes, bars and restaurants. It starts with Iberian pigs roaming oak forests, eating acorns. Then the leg is salted and hung for years, sometimes longer than a university degree. Paper-thin slices are carved by hand so the fat melts on your tongue.
It’s salty because salt is the only preservative used.
It’s expensive because time is expensive.
This isn’t just ham. It’s Spanish tradition.

Bistrot typique parisien de part le bâtiment mais aussi son cadre intérieur resté "dans son jus" et sa décoration un peu désuète.
La carte est relativement variée et composée de plats représentant bien la cuisine de bistrot. Tout est très bon, cuisine et assaisonnement maîtrisés. Seul bémol: un effort pourrait être fait sur la mise en valeur dans l'assiette.
En conclusion, un bistrot typique parisien avec des tarifs en adéquation avec sa localisation géographique...

⭐️ Dimanche ensoleillé face à la mer…
Le bleu du ciel, le calme de l’eau, et ce petit café savouré en terrasse à Saint-Raphaël.
Des instants simples, paisibles, qui font tout.
Et puis il y a ces lieux qui traversent le temps…
Le Poussin Bleu, institution depuis notre enfance. Une adresse chargée de souvenirs, de rires partagés, de rendez-vous en famille ou entre amis.

⭐️ CAFE MERCI IS COMING TO AYALA!!!

One of my favorite cafés recognized by SunStar’s Best of Cebu as a top dessert destination, Cafe merci in cebu, is finally opening a new branch in Ayala at the Active Zone (near BreadTalk and Krispy Kreme).

Known for their French-inspired pastries, particularly their luscious Strawberry Shortcake and beautifully crafted fruit tarts, this cozy instagrammable café has captured the hearts of many. They’re also famous for their Korean-style “Fatcarons”, those colorful and flavorful thick-filled macarons, the latest Dubai Chewy Cookies, buttery, creamy and fruity croissants, and other irresistible desserts. With its signature Parisian-style, all-white interior, expect the Ayala Center Cebu by Ayala Malls branch to be just as big, bright, and aesthetically captivating as their two Streetscape locations.

I can’t disclose the opening month yet, but I’m so excited that they’ll soon be more accessible to everyone.
