50 years old. 16 EASA Part-66 exams. And I’m still just getting started. ✈️
In July 2025, I decided to take on a completely new challenge: EASA Part-66 B1/B2 examinations — Jet & Piston.
Today, I’m proud to say that I have successfully completed 16 exams.
But this achievement is not really about 16 certificates.
It’s about the decision to keep learning.
My career started very differently. I began in finance and insurance, earned my doctorate, and later worked in shipping and international business.
Then, about 15 years ago, aviation entered my life — and I got completely “addicted” to it. 😊
What started as an interest became a new professional world.
Over the years, I have explored different sides of business aviation — aircraft operations, aviation finance and insurance, aircraft management, leasing, technical management, CAMO, Part-145/MRO, spare parts and logistics, safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
And I have had the opportunity to discover and work with different aircraft types.
Now, at 50, I decided to go one step further and strengthen my technical aviation knowledge through Part-66 B1/B2 studies.
And you know what?
It feels great to learn something completely new.
Age is not a reason to stop.
Quite the opposite.
Experience gives you a foundation.
Curiosity gives you direction.
Learning gives you new possibilities.
My journey has gone from Finance → Insurance → Shipping → Business Aviation → Technical & Regulatory Aviation.
And I’m not finished.
There are new aircraft to discover.
New knowledge to acquire.
New projects to build.
New challenges to overcome.
At 50, I don’t see my career as something that is coming to an end.
I see it as a runway.
And there is still a lot of runway ahead. ✈️🚀
The best is still ahead.
