Fruit of customer recommendations due to the availability of English speaking advisers in the 1990s, in 1999 we obtained our licence to create a dedicated distance-banking branch for English speaking customers. Initially with about 1000 customers with properties all over France, today Britline looks after 40000 customers making it one of the largest individual branches in France. Our team is made
up of over 40 people – the majority of whom are British and have made the move to France, experienced at first hand the trials and tribulations of getting started in a new country and are able to share their knowledge and experiences with you. Other members of the team are French, bilingual and have lived in the UK so they understand where you are coming from too! Professionally many come from commercial and/or UK or French banking backgrounds. It is this combination of professional and life experiences that makes the Britline team unique and has our customers still being our main source of recommendation for new clients. Since our early days when CA Britline was a postal and telephone bank we have become a digital bank with the availability of the website www.britline.com, online account opening, our app My Britline (French banking in English) and web call back. Similarly we have increased our offer to meet new needs and requirements, offering the full range of Credit Agricole products (banking, savings, insurances etc) and adding a few of our own such as our International Payments Service (BIPS) in 2015 and premium banking specialist advisers since 2013.
