Single.Earth has closed a $7.9M seed round to launch its marketplace for nature-backed MERIT tokens and for hiring talent. The round was led by EQT Ventures, with participation from existing investors us at Icebreaker as well as Ragnar Sass and Martin Henk, founders of Pipedrive.

Since their launch in January 2021, the company has done an outstanding job in building the awareness and the platform to protect the natural ecosystem around us.

WHAT A WAY TO START THE NEW WEEK! 💥 Tesseract has raised a $25M Series A funding round to strengthen institutional digital asset lending offering.

This is the first funding round in Europe focusing on the sector and is led by Augmentum Fintech, a London-based leader in FinTech investments. Other participants in the round include BlackFin Capital Partners, Concentric, DN Capital, Jabre Capital Partners, LeadBlock Partners, Sapphire Ventures and us at Icebreaker. Industry participants of the round include Coinbase, Wintermute, and Woorton.

We first invested in Tesseract back in 2018 when the company was two co-founders in an idea-stage. It has been great to accompany the team on their journey since that and we're proud to continue supporting them going forward!

Today is a big day for us as we can finally share some exciting news: We are happy to announce the final closing of our second fund at €100M as well as the first and final closing of our new Opportunity Fund at €20M! 💥

With the newly added funds we plan to:
- Continue investing €150-€800k in domain experts with strong tech capabilities
- Maintain the same investment focus; no stage is too early for us to invest in
- Strive to support founders from the moment they start thinking about founding a company
- Keep meeting strong, amazing teams with deep insights into the problems they aim to solve
- Use the €20M Opportunity fund to continue investing in our Fund I portfolio companies
