On 8 October, we had the pleasure of being part of Team Germany at the Study in Europe Fair in Kampala, Uganda. A big thank you to the organizing team for putting together such a well-executed event. Special appreciation goes to Juliette RUBENSTEIN from the European Union in Uganda for her outstanding efforts in making the event a success.

Looking ahead, I hope the upcoming Study in Europe Fair in Addis Ababa will be equally successful. Our best wishes to the European Union in Ethiopia team and all partners involved in executing this important initiative in Ethiopia. Looking forward to another successful event in Addis, Study In Europe !

📢 DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarship for Sub-Saharan Africa is open for applications!

🗓 Deadline: 12 November 2026

✅ Who can apply?
Graduates and postgraduates from Sub-Saharan Africa holding a first academic degree.

👩‍🎓 Women, refugees with recognised refugee status, and candidates from marginalised regions or groups are especially encouraged to apply.

📍 Available in Ethiopia:
Master in Environmental Health, Jimma University

🌐 Programmes are also offered in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Malawi, covering fields such as water and environmental engineering, crop improvement, agricultural economics, plant breeding, electrical power systems, geomatics, climate change and disaster management, aquaculture and irrigation engineering.
