Asset Matters Ethiopia

Asset Matters Ethiopia Asset Matters Ethiopia provides RFID technology to improve asset management, supply chain management, access control and personnel tracking.

Asset Matters Ethiopia addresses four fields in which RFID tags can offer a solution:

1. Asset Management
Administrative matters can influence the value and efficiency of capital, especially in heavy industry, mining industry, and oil and gas production. Tags can offer a solution for the labor intensity of monitoring capital.

2. Supply Chain Management
The cost and profitability in supply chain

management largely depends on the efficiency and quality of transportation. The challenge is to move quantities quickly with the least amount of handling in the most efficient way possible. One of the latest tools to manage quantity distribution is radio frequency identification (RFID).

3. Access Control
With conventional systems of access control, such as bar code, magnetic stripe, and proximity readers, user must handle the badge and place it close to or make physical contact with the reader. RFID technology provides a hands-free access control solution with many advantages over traditional access control badges and systems.

4. Personnel Tracking
Employee location tracking in potentially hazardous environments or situations is paramount to ensuring safety. Evacuation situations often call for the immediate accounting of personnel to ensure personal safety. RFID-technology enables the possibility to use a combination of readers and tags attached to wrist bands or clothes to track personnel in the corporation or in specific zones. RFID-technology enables the possibility to use a combination of readers and tags to conveniently trace capital or personnel. The reader receives signals from the tags so that it can locate objects and get insight to its status and availability. This information will be displayed and saved in a cloud based system. Asset Matters offers this RFID-technology, together with the cloud-based system, via a license based on a monthly user fee.

Asset Matter introduces the SeatstaT® occupancy management system

Can we have a system that provides management information on the occupancy of workstations in any office setting?
Can we have a tool for employees that will instantly show where there is an available workstation?
Can we have a system that will show the real-time occupancy of workstations on an office floor?

The Asset Matters SeatstaT® system offers a simple solution for this problem and is applicable in every environment. By applying wireless motion sensors in chairs, movement is reported instantly to the monitoring system, creating real-time information on the occupancy rate of workstations. The feedback is not only available in diagrams and charts, it is also projected in an interactive floor plan of the specific office space. Asset Matters SeatstaT® can also be rented for a short period as it may be used for a quick scan that will give you information on the actual occupancy in any particular setting and will provide input for decisions on future needs for office space.

Asset Matters signs agreement with Globalstar to become a value added reseller for SmartOne C, the most cost effective device for asset tracking via GPS-satellite.

Designed for the intelligent management of fixed and mobile assets, the SmartOne C is a practical solution for a multitude of options including:
Up to 12 different reporting times
Interval or 24 hour operation mode
Alternate reporting schedules
Low battery message

Track intermediate bulk containers, vehicles and boats as a solution to improve your assets operating efficiency and security.
The SmartOne C can be line-powered, or in the absence or interruption of external power, the SmartOne C will automatically switch to battery back-up. When using line-power, the user has maximum flexibility in messaging frequency allowing for regular monitoring of asset location.
The SmartOne C utilizes motion sensors, comparative GPS positions and custom configured sensors to gather and transmit asset status information. Each SmartOne C is configured to track its asset's specific needs and provide intermediate and emergency alerts by email or text (VAR software integration required).

Features
Quick installation: Use industrial adhesives, brackets or screw mounts for installation
Operates on 5v external line power, 8-22v regulator cable, or (4) AAA Lithium Batteries
Automatic alerts: Change of location sensing sends alerts if asset moves outside of pre-determined range
Messaging reduction mode: Reduces satellite messaging if asset remains in same location for a pre-determined period of time
Hardware on/off feature: Allows the unit to initiate GPS re-centering functionality
Accepts serial signals (TTL) from external inputs
