LET’S JOIN OUR HANDS TO SAVE CHILDREN UNDER DIFFICULTIES
Abdi Gudina Charity Organization is a young nongovernmental organization (NGO) which was
established in August, 2019 after being registered and licensed in accordance with Civil Societies
Proclamation No. 1113/2019. Abdi Gudina Charity Organization is registered by Federal Democratic
Republic of Ethiopia Agency for Civil Society Organization with registration number 4381
The organization is taking part in the efforts made to curb the problems of orphans and vulnerable
children by focusing on community based child support. Some of the major focuses of the
organization include: Providing financial, educational and medical support to orphans who lost their
parents particularly due to HIV Aids;
Abdi Gudina Charity Organization has given services to more than 150 disadvantaged children since
its establishment from September 2019. |Community based child support with special attention to
educational problem of orphans and vulnerable children. Currently 150 OVCs are under the care of
the organization.
Background of the organization
Abdi Gudina Charity Organization was established with the primary objectives of alleviating problems
of abandonment children and destitute families as well as orphanage related problems. One of the
major causes of children abandonment is HIV/AIDS among many other causes. Nowadays many
children are mercilessly suffering from various social and economic problems which happen as a
result of HIV/AIDS and or low income. Therefore a number of children whose living is completely
depend up on their parents or elder / the other alternatives may be near to their family relatives or
guardians falling short of even basic as food to work their house without any paying birr or any other
supporting from them without any support from their relatives /Guardians’. Clothe, shelter, education
and medical care and other related necessities when they lose their family. Shortage of fulfilling these
and other things that ensure the wellbeing of those children is becoming common in every society
even though the magnitude may differ from community to community. It is for the reason that Abdi
Gudina Charity Organization has been toiling to help children who have been lacking those basic
needs for any reasons since its establishment.
Future plan of the organization and the previous challenge.
Abdi Gudina Charity Organization aimed to help about 1500 helpless children per year where the
possibility of extending the project to help more needy children and families in different ways, such as
in providing food, clothe, shelter, education, family fostering , and even beyond and 200 youth
creating income generating activity teaching by vocational training not more than one year certificate.
But because of lack of fund currently the Abdi Gudina Charity Organization manage to find volunteer
and individual to assist those vulnerable children in different ways. Whereby they learn around in its
intervention area apart from that still have no helper who supports them regularly in providing food,
medical care and others. Even these children themselves have got no donor be it local or international.
The founder of the organization is sharing from his living to at least let these children live.
1. Vision:
Abdi Gudina Charity Organization aims at making the life of HIV positive orphans, semi
orphan, destitute bring brighter and longer. It cares its children through provision of
comprehensive service that prolong their life and improve their general living condition (such
as food, shelter, clothing, medical care and schooling.) Beneficiaries: - the beneficiaries are
getting services under the one program for the first moment. Children family based care: the
beneficiaries are those who are either double orphans or totally abandoned due to their HIV
status and who have no willing extended family or guardian to take care of them within the
community. The children are living in community based support the number of orphan
children is 150 depends their family or guardians. Abdi Gudina Charity Organization for
children from 5-12 years in case their hard situation. The children are may support in
different parts of Oromia it depends the family situation or screen by the body of government

Organizational Structure:
Capacity: - Abdi Gudina Charity Organization has made a different to over 150 supporting children
community based since its establishment. Currently Abdi Gudina Charity Organization wishes to
organize two programs where child community based and boarding house. If the children may not
all the parent and no guardians we will organize them the appropriate way by renting house
around their school to be enhancing their future life. We will investigate the other programs
where children live with their guardians / families ; The child development center which serves
150 children used clothes, shoes , exercise book, pen ,pencil are given to them where there are
with their guardians/ families
