Meet one of the co-founders of Addis Ababa Angels, Joseph Kibur. Joseph is an Entrepreneur, Athlete, and Philanthropist who is the founder of NetNation, the largest web hosting company in Canada and publicly listed on Nasdaq which was acquired by Hostway in 2003. He is also the founder of Yaya Village, and Millennium Apartment Hotel. Yaya Village is the first high altitude athletics training center in Ethiopia, established in partnership with Olympic gold medalist Haile Gebreselassie. Joseph is active in philanthropic activities having donated over $2 Million USD to various charities in both Canada and Ethiopia.

Meet Adam Abate, CEO of Paga Ethiopia, a leading emerging markets mobile money and payments platform, on a mission to help one billion people access and use their money, in return transitioning users, in the emerging context, to a digital economy. One of the co-founders of AAA, Adam, started his career at Accenture and worked for a number of Fortune 100 clients in the United States before moving back to Ethiopia in 2003. On his return, he managed the development and implementation of an integrated financial management system for the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance. He later co-founded Apposit LLC, a technology company that builds software that powers innovative and high-impact businesses in Africa. Apposit was acquired by Pagatech Holdings in 2020. Adam is also an early angel investor in Deliver Addis, Ethiopia’s leading food delivery service.
