🏠 Young Families in Spain Can Receive Up to 50% of Their Rent Covered
Spain offers regional rental assistance programmes that help families with children pay for housing. In some autonomous communities, subsidies can cover up to 50% of monthly rent.
♦️ How much can families receive?
The maximum support is typically around €300–€450 per month, depending on the region, rental price limits and eligibility criteria. Families with children receive priority when applications are assessed.
🔹 Who is eligible?
Household income generally must not exceed three times the IPREM income indicator. The limit may rise to four or five times the IPREM for large families, single-parent households and families with a person with a disability.
🏡 The property must be the applicant’s main residence, and the rental agreement must be officially registered.
📄 Documents required:
Official rental agreement
Proof of residence registration (empadronamiento) for all family members
Documents confirming household composition
Bank statements or other proof of rent payments
📍 Applications must be submitted to the housing authority in the applicant’s autonomous community.
