📢UK Driving Licence Update 23/2/2022
🚗Yesterday it was confirmed that the period to drive on a UK licence is extended until the end of April 2022. (note new residents still have 6 months from the date the residency starts) Negotiations continue for a long-term agreement between the UK and Spain for Spanish residents to be able to exchange their UK driving licences without taking a test, but nothing is confirmed or guaranteed.
This extension is short, and as recommended by the British Embassy in Spain it is important that if it is imperative for you to drive, you consider all your options, which may include taking a driving test.
