In an onsite poll at the annual ICAO aviation training conference in Doha Qatar (9-12 December), 43% of the attendees voted that calculating the ROI of training was the most important trend in the future of aviation training. Other trendsin aviation training, such as skills development, received a fraction of this percentage. The ICAO conference was attended by 600+ aviation specialists and was hosted by the Qatar Ministry of Transport and the Qatar Aeronautical College.

By how much can pilot training reduce the risk of accidents in civil aviation (so-called "events")? We presented SMART ROI solutions at the EATS aviation conference in Madrid on 6 November for calculating the impact of pilot training on aviation safety. We seem to be the only ones who can do it.
