Evolution of Real Estate prices in Barcelona.
Since the implosion of the financial bubble in Spain (2007) the average prices for real estate prices in Barcelona are 40% lower (a bit higher than 3000 €/m2).
Does it mean that real estate became "cheap"? Well, not necessarily: Demographic trends, the loss of purchasing power (lower salaries) and other factors weigh on the market. However, such markets can also produce huge opportunities for long run investors due to volatile prices ( and short run constraints of sellers).
