The idea of Barcelona Ventures started up in April 2012 when its founder went to San Francisco for a prospecting trip of 3 months. There he saw the need for a large number of European tech companies to raise financing and they would go to Silicon Valley to launch their businesses and seek such funding if there was a more customized, leaner and safer way to do it. Several interviews have been conducted to entrepreneurs to understand their needs, what they need, and we have been building services to solve the problems they have when entering the U.S. Now we have a comprehensive resources platform to access the U.S. We arrange regular investor meetings by videoconference and help European entrepreneurs with a MVP acceleration program in Silicon Valley.
