KENYA’S CONTRIBUTION TO ACCREDITATION IN AFRICA 🇰🇪🌍

AFRAC is pleased to see the achievements from the 17th AFRAC General Assembly and Meetings in Gaborone, Botswana, featured in Kenya’s MyGov.

The feature highlights key milestones for the Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS), including graduation from the AFRAC Development Programme and the election of Kenyan experts to technical leadership positions within AFRAC.

Congratulations to KENAS and all those recognised. Together, we continue strengthening accreditation and quality infrastructure across Africa.

A memorable close to in Gaborone! 🌍🇧🇼

After a week of meetings, technical discussions and important decisions, the AFRAC family came together for a beautifully organised Gala Dinner hosted by SADCAS.

It was an evening to celebrate Botswana's culture and hospitality, reconnect with colleagues, make new friendships and simply enjoy being together beyond the meeting rooms.

A special highlight was the vibrant performance by the Mogwana Traditional Dance Group.

Our sincere appreciation to SADCAS for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality, and to everyone who made the 17th AFRAC General Assembly & Meetings a memorable week.

The meetings may have ended, but the relationships and shared work continue.

Accreditation has an important place in building the Africa we want. 🌍

At the 17th AFRAC General Assembly in Gaborone, Dr Oswald Chinyamakobvu of the African Union Commission highlighted how internationally recognised accreditation supports Africa's trade, industrial development and continental integration under Agenda 2063 – The Africa We Want.

The AU–AFRAC partnership also extends to capacity development, including the AFRAC Development Programme, whose inaugural cohort graduated this week after a year-long leadership development journey.
