On this International Day of Zero Waste, Canal Sugar Company is proud to announce a major milestone in our mission toward a circular economy. We have officially transitioned our organic waste management to a 100% landfill-free model.

Through a strategic partnership with a certified recycling facility, we’ve moved beyond simple disposal. Today, our organic waste is transformed into Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF)—turning potential environmental hazards into valuable energy.

Canal Sugar x Egyptian Food Bank | Four Years of Giving Back 🤲

For the fourth consecutive year, Canal Sugar employees joined hands with the Egyptian Food Bank to pack Ramadan food boxes, helping ensure that families in need receive essential supplies during the holy month.

This year’s initiative was even more special as employees’ children joined the activity, sharing the spirit of giving and learning the importance of community support from an early age.

The event was also attended by Dr. Kamel Abdallah, Managing Director & CEO of Canal Sugar, who joined employees in packing the boxes, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
