Agreena is a Danish climate solutions pioneer, supporting farmers' transition to regenerative farming. Bridging the finance, technology, and agriculture sectors, Agreena is developing a range of financial solutions for those delivering a more sustainable food and farming system. The company is working with thousands of farmers across 4.5 million hectares of arable farmland in 20 European markets – giving them access to carbon finance to accelerate the global shift to regenerative agriculture. Agreena manages Europe’s leading soil carbon programme and its AgreenaCarbon Project is Verra registered. Through a network of farmers, businesses and experts, Agreena shares knowledge and resources to secure the future of agriculture. Its advanced digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) capabilities measure tangible impact from the ground up, supporting farmers, companies, and governments on the road to net zero.

Harvesting beans and wheat together - headache or genius idea? 🧠

The benefits in the field are clear, but the winter headache of selling them together is a challenge many farmers are weighing up.

Are you sticking to separate fields this year, or is the soil health boost too good to pass up?

Ever wonder how we turn satellite photos into actual soil insights? 🛰️

It used to be a long, manual process.

But to support more farmers, we knew we had to get faster and more precise.

Meet Gateway, our new engine built by our Remote Sensing Specialist, Peter Kongstad.

Gateway fixes the "messy" parts of satellite data.

It automatically standardises images so that a pixel captured five years ago is mathematically comparable to one captured this morning.

This ensures that when we measure your regenerative practices, the data is rock solid - regardless of when, where or how the image was taken.

What this means for you:

🚀 Speed: We process field data in minutes, not hours.
📉 Accuracy: By removing data discrepancies, we get a truer picture of your field's health.
🧠 Focus: Our scientists can focus on product design and measurement, not IT headaches.

Can we stop talking about trees for a second? 🌳

A new report just confirmed what farmers have known all along: the soil beneath our boots is a much bigger carbon sink than experts previously thought.

While everyone else is busy looking up at the canopy, the real climate revolution is happening underground, in our fields.

Farmers aren't just food producers; we’re guardians of the world’s most powerful decarbonisation opportunity.

Do you think soil is finally going to get the respect (and the investment) it deserves? 👇

Who wants their cover crops to die? 🌾

On heavy clay soils, the best cover crops are the ones that are killed easily.

By picking species that die in the frost, soil structures benefit from the plant residue, without the wet sponge effect when getting on the land in spring.

Cover crops are undoubtedly a crucial tool for soil health, but if they're standing in the way of the drill in March, they turn from a solution to problem.

Weather extremes are no longer occasional events, but rather annual realities.

Thomas Gent, a fourth generation farmer in Cambridgeshire, UK, revealed his contrasting wheat yields in the Agronomist & Arable Farmer magazine, with some fields achieving record yields of more than 11t/ha, and others achieving 7t/ha.

By embracing variability as the new norm, Thomas suggests that farmers should develop adaptable plans that better respond to shifting climate patterns, including more staggered planting and diverse crop rotations.

Have you adapted your strategy to account for changing weather? 🤔

Our regenerative wish list 🎁

From all of us at Agreena, thank you for driving the change beneath our feet, and supporting regenerative agriculture this year.

With your help, we’ve reduced 1.2 million tonnes of CO₂ – equivalent to taking 261,000 cars off the road for a year – and removed 1.1 million tonnes through improved agricultural practices and soil carbon sequestration.

That's something worth celebrating.

So whatever your plans, we hope you get everything on your list!

The year regenerative agriculture proved its impact at scale. 🌱

In 2025, we doubled our corporate customer base, the AgreenaCarbon Project became the world’s largest arable cropland project verified by Verra, and our Scope 3 Project secured SustainCERT validation.

These are just some of the milestones that proved that verified climate impact can scale commercially - connecting farmers and corporates through shared data, trust, and measurable outcomes.

And the numbers?

Pretty huge.

Thank you to everyone who supported regenerative agriculture this year - let's make 2026 even bigger! 🚀

Meet Sándor, one of the farmers at the heart of our Mars partnership! 🌱

Together, our supply chain project has helped to scale regenerative agriculture across Hungary, supporting farmers like Sándor with both practical and financial help to make the transition.

Thanks to regenerative techniques like cover cropping, crop rotation and reduced tillage, farmers in Europe have reported benefits from ‘profitability returning’, more consistent yields, ‘better soil structure’ and crops that ‘look better’.

All in just a year.

Now, we’re joining Mars, Incorporated in calling on European policymakers to help farmers thrive by creating an enabling environment that promotes public-private partnerships, outcomes-based public policy, and harmonised measurement aligned with global standards.

With more than five billion hectares of arable land on earth, agriculture holds the second-largest share of carbon mitigation potential - and it needs an ecosystem to activate it.

As ours with Mars is proving, partnerships are crucial to scaling regenerative agriculture as a high-impact, verifiable climate tool.
