FORUM Family Office acquires majority stake in MecMatica Srl
Forum Family Office ("FORUM") has acquired the majority of the shares of MecMatica Srl ("Mecmatica"), based in Spirano, Italy, through its industry holding FORUM Software Mittelstandsholding SE. Mecmatica has 26 employees and a turnover of approximately € 5.5 million, making it one of the top 3 suppliers in Italy.
Since its foundation in the late 1990s, Mecmatica has developed into one of the leading suppliers of MES software ("Manufacturing Ex*****on System") for the productive control of CNC machines in Italy. The company serves about 500 clients with 8,000 CNC machines. The software is characterised by a modular product architecture with 11 modules that can be booked individually or as part of the system.
Mecmatica represents FORUM's first participation in the Italian market and continues the internationalisation process FORUM is pursuing.
The FORUM continuation concept provides for the continuation of the corporate strategy in all essential points. In particular, employees and headquarter will be retained. FORUM wants to support Mecmatica with its network and experience, especially in the internationalisation of its business in Germany and Eastern Europe.
Founder Diego Cavalleri will remain on board as CTO and Operations Manager and will shape the next growth phase together with FORUM. His comment:
