St Johns College of Science and Technology was established to advance the transformation of students into an employable, highly skilled, self-sustaining, morally & ethically competent workforce.

60,000-70,000 students in Uganda leave secondary school each year however only 35% of them are able to find places in higher learning institutions leaving many without the option of vocational & technical education. There is also a disconnect between the qualifications of graduates and the vocational skills needed for jobs in demand.

Sunday Asau founded the college in 2019 to bridge the skills gap. They provide national certificates, informal short courses, and specialized training. Since its inception, they have provided training to over 1,300 trainees.
