Can you imagine a world without IVY? Hard to picture, right? 💙

🎉 Today marks 9 years since the first IVY volunteering mission! 🎉

Back in 2016, the IVY initiative was announced as part of the European Solidarity Corps - ESC during the State of the Union address of President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.

𝐎𝐧 𝟐𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐕𝐘 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐝!

👉 Fast forward to today.
IVY has grown into a community, now reaching 97 countries and bringing together 1,200 committed to strengthening cooperation and solidarity across borders.

Since becoming independent from the ESC in 2022, the initiative has continued to evolve, with more than 100 still actively engaged beyond their volunteering experience, making its impact on more tangible than ever!

Hello everyone!
My name is Federica, and I am an Italian Master’s graduate in Global Studies & EU, with a professional background in Youth Policy, Sustainability and EU Affairs. I will support the VI-A IPA Hungary-Serbia Programme as an IVY Reporter for the next six months, contributing to monitor and share the progress and outcomes of the programme’s projects. I am ready and excited to dive into this new journey, learn more about cross-border cooperation and contribute to initiatives that truly impact local communities!"

We were thrilled to participate in this year’s Macro-regional & Sea Basin Strategies Days, an inspiring event full of insights on regional cooperation!

It was exciting to meet Noé, IVY Reporter for EUSALP, and all the stakeholders who visited the IVY stands.

🌊 Last week we joined the Annual Event in Rønne, Denmark.

It was such a pleasure to meet with former IVY volunteers, who are now contributing to Territorial Cooperation as programme officers. Their journey shows the long-lasting impact of IVY: having Interreg co-shaped by young people! 💙
