This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in 🇪🇺 EU affairs & 🙌 youth empowerment, ✍️ project management, 📣 communication, and 🌐 international cooperation. The role includes supporting volunteers and host organisations, coordinating project activities, assisting with communication and outreach, and contributing to the success of a Europe-wide initiative.

🏖️ Farewell to Federica! 🏖️

🥺 Our Programme is sobbing to wave farewell to our first IVY volunteer! 🥺

🎙️So Federica, please tell us a bit more about your IVY experience 🎙️

At the beginning, when I joined the JS as the first IVY for the Hungary-Serbia programme, I was both excited and a little scared. It came with the responsibility of doing a good job and paving the way for those who would come after me, but also with the promise of incredible opportunities to learn and grow.

Looking back now, these six months have been an incredible and enriching experience. Every day gave me the chance to learn something new and have an impact by making the achievements of cross-border cooperation in the region more visible. I can now say out loud that I am grateful to have been part of such meaningful work and to have seen firsthand how projects literally change people's lives!

A huge thank you to the whole team for always supporting, encouraging, and believing in me. You have made me feel welcome from day one, and I will take not only new skills and experiences with me, but also wonderful memories together.

This may be the end of my IVY journey, but it's definitely not a goodbye, and I am excited to see what is coming next!

🌍 Become a Cross-Border Ambassador!

We are looking for 10 young people to join the 4th edition of the Cross-Border Ambassadors programme! Are you between 18 and 30 and connected to a European border region? Whether you grew up there, studied there, or simply care about cross-border cooperation, this is your chance to bring your voice into EU-level discussions.

Over a six-month mandate (1 October 2026 – 31 March 2027), Ambassadors will meet monthly with DG REGIO, create original content, and receive an official Certificate of Completion signed by the European Commission. 🏅

Become a Cross-Border Ambassador and join the network!

Applications for the fourth edition of the Cross-Border Ambassadors are now open! 📢

To apply for the 2026–2027 mandate, you will need:
📝 A motivational letter (max 500 words), tell us about your connection to a cross-border region and what drives your interest in EU cooperation

🎥 A 2-minute video: explore a real cross-border challenge from your region and propose a solution. The more personal and creative, the better!

Applications are evaluated on motivation, innovative thinking, communication skills, and commitment to European values. No prior experience in EU policy needed.

Selected Ambassadors will join a six-month mandate with monthly meetings with DG REGIO and receive an official Certificate of Completion signed by the European Commission. 🏅

Published by Interact, in cooperation with AEBR, this edition explores how is and transforming territories across Europe, showing how cooperation goes beyond projects to shape policies, strengthen governance, and improve people's lives. 🌍✨

Featuring inspiring editorials by Moray Gilland, European Commission's DG REGIO and Member of the European Parliament MEP Pascal Arimont, alongside six stories written by IVY volunteers, this issue brings to life the tangible impact of European Territorial Cooperation through the eyes of young people working on the ground.
