Germany has aided many European nations recently including the ailing Ireland; however they have done so only after austerity measures are in place to discourage further economic problems. The Euro has not yet ascended in response to the news however...

FRANKFURT — New car sales in Germany gained an annualised 17 percent in January to 211,100 vehicles, the auto federation VDA said on Wednesday, with diesel-powered autos posting particularly strong gains.
