Today, we'd like to Justin Alexander Dauti, who joined IEG at the beginning of January as an Investment Banking Intern. Justin is from Dรผsseldorf and completed his bachelorโs degree at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
What excites you most about M&A?
What interests me most about M&A is that you get to know many different companies on a deep level in the shortest amount of time. The work is very diverse and will range from maintaining valuation spreadsheets to creating marketing materials to researching companies and markets. I find the collaboration in small teams, the strong involvement in projects and day-to-day business, and the fast-paced nature of the M&A world particularly exciting. I am also very attracted to the strong profiles you are usually working together within the M&A world, as I think I can learn the most and the fastest there. Learning and increasing my knowledge has a very high priority for me.
Why did you join IEG?
Internet, Software and technology as a whole have always been appealing to me, and IEG's focus on these sectors is exceptional. Working with IEG will give me valuable experience in terms of learning more about the world of M&A and Growth Financing while working with some of the smartest and most hardworking people.
What and where do you study?
I chose a major in banking and finance for my bachelor's degree and completed my studies at universities in Germany and the US. I am currently pursuing a Master in Management at ESCP Business School (their main campus is located in Paris, France). I studied my first semester in Madrid and thus qualified for a double degree with the University Carlos III of Madrid. I will spend my second semester in Berlin, Germany, where I will earn a German Master of Science degree. My last semesters will be spent in London, UK, at Cass Business School, among other places (partner universities around the world).
Welcome to the team, Justin!
