Today's "Beaches of Cyprus" focus piece is the slightly under the radar Fireman's Beach or, Kapparis Beach. Located within the Famagusta district, sitting to the furthest North of the resort of Protaras.

The beach actually gets it's moniker from the local firemen whose station is based at the top of the bay & undertake their training here just as the sun is rising (for those early birds lucky enough to catch a glimpse.)

Located around 1km down a small, easily accessible off-road the beach is nestled within a breathtakingly gorgeous cove.

Fireman's Beach is surprisingly compact & secluded, with calm, shallow waters which make it incredibly popular with young families & couples alike.

The views here are spectacular &, on a clear day, you can see all the way down to Varosha, most commonly known as the "Famagusta Ghost Town."

Sun loungers & umbrellas are plentiful & you will also find a small kiosk located at the top of the bay that provides snacks & refreshments. This particular beach offers no water sports facilities, so is perfect for those who require a truly peaceful & relaxing experience.

Although you may feel you are in a hidden paradise, you are still extremely close to the very popular Kapparis Avenue strip where after a day of full relaxation, you have access to the many bars & restaurants in which to refuel.

If you're looking for that perfect, picture-postcard beach in Cyprus, Fig Tree Bay more than delivers with its highly "Instagrammable" and divine aesthetics.
