I have been quiet and I am sure all of us have been. I will be updating my web page soon. I have learnt so much more actually living here its already a year and 3 months!

One big lesson is - you dont need to own a property to get temporary residence you can rent. However you need to prove you can sustain yourself. A small deposit of €900 per person is held in a fixed deposit until you get your permanent res.

I am renewing my temp res now and at the same time will apply for my permanent res. That could take up to 2 years. There after, its about 6 years and I should get my Passport.

If you can afford to buy around
360 000 euros you go into Fast Track Permanent Residency Programme. That amount includes a fixed deposit. That amount covers the whole family including in laws both sides so club in and start your process. A South African here has bought a plot /stand and sharing with other friends. He is on this Group so I am sure he will share the process with you. So yes, there are ways to live a peaceful and happy life outide of Sunny South Africa. 😃💕

The ZAR is crashing , So the quicker you get SOME of your money out the better. 2 years ago the interest rate was 14.8 and now its 19 or 20....
