From 1 July 2026, rent payments relating to immovable property in Cyprus must be made exclusively through recognised electronic payment methods, including bank transfers, debit or credit cards, or other recognised electronic means. The requirement applies to all individuals and legal entities, regardless of the rental amount or the type of property.
