Finance / Accounting Assistant requirements
• BSc in Accounting / Finance / Economics or LCCI Higher Diploma
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a shipping company, will be considered an advantage
• Excellent Microsoft Excel Sheets knowledge
• Strong task prioritisation skills, ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Proactive, well-organised and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Highly motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with an ability to take initiative, solve problems, and deliver results
• High level of communication skills
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Knowledge of E-Soft -Premiersoft Accounting & Payroll software will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the invoicing process, collections, and reporting
• In charge of outgoing and incoming payments, including ex*****on, filing, and correspondence with related parties
• Ex*****on of international payments, Marine associates and others.
• Monitoring the liquidity, maintaining payment records, and preparing reconciliation analysis
• Assist with the KYC updates requested by the Banks as well as with the requirements for the onboarding process for new bank accounts
• Assisting our Auditors and other External Advisors with their information requests
• Identify discrepancies and provide meaningful insights to the CFO /Management
• Assist in ad hoc requests in relation to the General Finance tasks.
• Reporting directly to the Group’s Financial Controller
