A single compromised key remains one of the biggest security risks in digital asset management.

That is exactly the problem MPC (Multi-Party Computation) was designed to solve.

Instead of relying on one private key stored in one place, MPC splits cryptographic control across multiple independent shares. No complete key ever exists in a single location, making it significantly harder for attackers to compromise assets through a single point of failure.

As digital asset adoption grows, security is no longer just about protecting keys. It is about designing systems that remain resilient even when individual devices, servers, or credentials are compromised.

In our latest carousel, we explain how MPC works and why it has become a core component of institutional-grade custody infrastructure.

Last week, our CEO, Artem Stopnevich, took part in The (Un)Banked Conference in Amsterdam, where The Vault was also proud to support the event as a sponsor.

Artem joined a panel discussion moderated by Katie Perry alongside Jody Mettler, COO at BitGo, Thijs van Boven, Head Trader, Digital Assets at VanEck, and James Butterfill, Head of Research at CoinShares.

Together, they discussed what happens when organizations move assets onchain, how institutions balance technology and governance, and the challenges of transitioning from pilot projects to production environments.

One of the strongest takeaways from the event was how closely connected banking, fintech, and digital assets have become. Across the discussions, the focus was no longer on separate industries, but on shared challenges around trust, infrastructure, governance, and the movement of value.

A big thank you to .global for bringing together such a strong group of speakers and industry leaders.

We would also like to thank the other speakers who contributed their perspectives throughout the event: Daniel Rowlands, Laurent Marochini, Patrick Hennes, Giovanni Everduin, Myles Harrison, Rob Hadick, Alice Li, Robbie Nakarmi, Konstantins Vasilenko, and Daniele Casamassima.

We’re proud to be part of such a forward-thinking community and look forward to continuing the conversation.

Our CEO, Artem Stopnevich, and CTO, Yury Derbasov, recently attended the Crypto Valley Conference in Switzerland.

It was a great opportunity to connect with founders, builders, investors, and industry professionals from across the digital asset space, exchange ideas, discuss market developments, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

Thank you to everyone we met and to the organizers for bringing together such a vibrant community.

Happy to be part of such a great community and looking forward to continuing the conversations.

The conversation around crypto security is changing.

A few years ago, most discussions focused on wallets, smart contracts, and infrastructure breaches. Today, a growing part of the threat surface exists somewhere much more public: social platforms.

Scam operations have become significantly more sophisticated, combining impersonation, AI-generated content, fake communities, and social engineering at scale. In many cases, attackers no longer need to breach infrastructure directly. They target trust first.

For digital asset companies, this creates a different kind of security challenge. Social media is no longer just a distribution channel or marketing layer. It has become part of operational security, brand trust, and institutional credibility.

As the industry matures, the way companies manage communication, account verification, incident response, and user education is becoming increasingly important for long-term infrastructure trust.

Our IT team recently got together in Georgia for a three-day intensive filled with strategy sessions, product discussions, and long conversations beyond screens and calls.

There’s something different about building together in person — exchanging ideas in real time, seeing the people behind the product, and stepping outside the usual day-to-day workflow.

Outside of work, we explored beautiful places across Georgia, tried local cuisine, learned how to make khinkali together, and shared a lot of moments that made the trip feel even more special.

Artem Stopnevich, CEO of The Vault, will be speaking at The (un)Banked Conference on June 3 in Amsterdam, hosted by .global during Money20/20 Europe.

The event brings together leaders from banking, fintech, and digital assets to discuss how financial systems are evolving as more infrastructure moves onchain.

This year’s conversations will focus on payments, custody, trading, yield infrastructure, regulation, and the future relationship between traditional finance and digital assets.

The conference will take place at Fosbury & Sons Members Club in the heart of Amsterdam and will feature keynote talks, focused panel discussions, and curated networking with industry decision-makers.

If you’ll be attending, we’d be glad to connect and continue the conversation.

Recently, Project Eleven released a report warning that more than $3 trillion in digital assets could become vulnerable to quantum attacks within the next 4–7 years, with “Q-Day” potentially arriving as early as 2030.

As quantum computing continues to evolve, conversations around post-quantum cryptography and infrastructure resilience are becoming increasingly important for digital asset custody.

One of the key concerns is that quantum attacks would target publicly exposed cryptographic keys, meaning part of today’s blockchain infrastructure could eventually require entirely new security approaches.

The Vault research team is also actively exploring post-quantum signatures and cryptographic protocols as part of the future of institutional custody infrastructure.

We also recently published a longer article sharing some of our broader observations after attending Paris Blockchain Week, Consensus Miami, and the FT Digital Asset Summit in London, including how post-quantum security is becoming part of a much larger infrastructure conversation across the industry.
