We operate on a contractual basis, so essentially provide systems development to companies which do not have the capacity to employ a full time developer. An example of automation is the reconciliation of client bank balances to what is reported on the Metatrader platform. This is an essential control to check internally reported cash against the 3rd party reports and could also prove to be very manual and time consuming. To further develop this we use c # windows applications to automate the upload of balances into a database and from this run the reconciliation to provide automated reports. The benefit of this is that not only does it maximise efficiency and control, it allows all information to be stored and accessed at any time, thus creating a very clear audit trail.
