CI Ratings is registered as a credit rating agency in the European Union (EU) and our activities are supervised by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). This means that the policies, processes, and structures we have in place to ensure the objectivity and integrity of our rating process are of the highest standards and subject to stringent oversight. We are also formally recognised

as an External Credit Assessment Institution (ECAI) by the European Banking Authority (EBA) and by supervisory authorities in a number of countries in the GCC and the broader MENA region. As an ECAI, our ratings and research are used by banks around the world for capital adequacy purposes or as an input into their own credit risk analysis.
