Many congratulations to Maria, The first-ever Cypriot woman athlete with disabilities ever to compete in Para Powerlifting at the Commonwealth Games.
Bravo
🌟 A Cyprus historic Milestone!
The first-ever Cypriot woman athlete with disabilities ever to compete in Para Powerlifting at the Commonwealth Games.. and we’re just getting started. 🇨🇾🔥
New Cyprus National Records:
💥 106kg in the 67kg category at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. 🏴 🏅
I placed 8th in the mixed Heavyweight category (67kg, 73kg, 79kg, -86kg, +86kg).
Second qualification for the Commonwealth Games — and my first-ever participation on the competition stage, as I couldn’t compete in the previous edition due to injury.
Not just competing.. writing a new chapter for Cyprus.
Nothing stops us. We rise. We push. We believe.
With even more faith, heart and determination, we continue the journey on the Road to the Los Angeles Paralympic Games 2028. 🧡🤗
My only wish? To stay healthy, keep fighting, and keep overcoming barriers.
This is not the end.
This is the beginning of something bigger.
Grateful for the team behind me 🤝
