Remember NexDim pledged to award followers who made it outstandingly in the GCE examination right ?
When Bryce Kong Akwo reached out to NexDim and said he made it in the GCE Advanced Level with 8 As, it was hardly credible, because I was ignorant about students taking up to 8 subjects. I received the information with hesitation and disbelief .
He had to screenshot the proof that he was the second best student in Cameroon. It was awe-inspiring and immediately did him the money transfer.
22 year-old Bryce Kong Akwo guested on "Portrait De La Semaine", where he chronicled his experience and motivation in excelling with 8 A grades in the GCE Advanced Level (Commercial) .
Akwo lived in South Africa with his mum before relocating to Cameroon to take the GCE Advanced Level. He had dropped out of school for 5 years.
Arriving in Cameroon, it was arduous for him to get enrolled but finally settled in CEGET Bonaberi, as a late admission.
Akwo wowed the teachers with his ingenuity and knowledge. He applied staggering practical knowledge in class and he was that student they placed their bet on. Dismally, they couldn't register him as an internal candidate.
He was registered as an external candidate and excelled beyond their expectations.
Akwo strongly believes that Cameroon has a very elaborate syllabus in the commercial field of study and encourages aspirants to go for it.
He also motivates young people to value education.
Akwo aspires to set up 8 different businesses in the 8 different disciplines he indulged into.
"Coming to Cameroon 5 years ago was a bitter sweet experience, having to navigate and understand life and make sense of it all was quite a difficult take. The key thing I learnt was to make the best of every situation and to use what you have to get what you want. There will never be a huge solution to solve your huge problem but with little consistent efforts and a flexible mind you are able to conquer" - Akwo
