d we will not print a single piece of paper in carrying out our operations. Every document we don't print is a tree we save, contributing to making the earth better. We believe we can pull our resources into a pool of funds and build great things. We believe collective growth is more impactful than individual growth. We can make savings, give out loans, invest, and generate wealth collectively without printing a sheet of paper. We will run Mountain cooperative credit union fully digital without using any paper. This method helps us to protect the environment and fight against global warming in a small way. We believe this is possible, and this is what we will do. The idea of credit unions came because people believed that banks have failed in creating the necessary economic impact to get people out of poverty and prevent them from falling back when they are out. Banking has become a vicious cycle, and banks will drag you to death. They will seize the only home your family has as compensation for delinquent loans. They will give you a loan even though they know you can't repay. Banks will advertise overdraft loans to you other than help you manage your salary and live a decent life. They will drag you out and sell the only home you have and recover their losses. They have failed. It is just business to them, not about people. They have to change, or they will become obsolete. While they take their time, we have to do something. That something is Mountain Cooperative. This is funny; credit unions are becoming banks; they are now playing the same games banks are playing and claiming they are getting people out of poverty while constantly doing the opposite. No one should take a loan without a plan to help them repay. Credit unions are trying to play the same games as banks because they have refused to think, innovate, and design new ways to create value and generate wealth in the credit union without reaping their members. We are going to change that. We are mountain cooperative, and we will demystify the idea of building collective wealth.
