Exactly 12 years ago today, probably the two most expensive pizzas in the world were delivered. On May 22, 2010, the programmer Laszlo Hanyecz ordered two pizzas for 10'000 Bitcoins, which he transferred to the student Jeremy Sturdivant ("Jercos"). Thus, this was also the first recorded transaction in which a cryptocurrency was used to pay for a physical good.
