During the first quarter of 2024, Vontobel recorded positive net inflows of CHF 2.1 billion across both private and institutional client segments, marking a positive start of the year for the business.

Assets under management increased by CHF 16.9 billion to a total of CHF 223.7 billion compared to year end 2023, corresponding to growth of 8 percent.

After a professional and rigorous selection process with strong internal and external candidates, we are pleased to share that Christel Rendu de Lint and Georg Schubiger have been appointed as the new Co-CEOs of Vontobel, effective January 1, 2024. In addition to performing their duties as Co-CEOs, Christel Rendu de Lint and Georg Schubiger will continue to serve as Head Investments and Head Wealth Management, respectively.

“In appointing Georg Schubiger and Dr. Christel Rendu de Lint, we have decided on a leadership structure that is fully in line with the profile that formed the basis for the succession process involving both internal and external candidates. Georg Schubiger and Dr. Christel Rendu de Lint are both committed to our focused strategy as a globally active investment firm with strong Swiss roots and to our Lighthouse Ambition 2030.“ stated Andreas Utermann, Chair of the Board of Directors of Vontobel.

As announced earlier this year, after 22 years at Vontobel, Zeno Staub will leave to become more actively involved in Swiss civil society. In order to ensure a smooth transition, he will be available to support the Co-CEOs until the General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2024.

Marko Röder, Head Asset Management, will also take on a new role in 2024.

We set a new record! 🏅🚴💨

36 cycling teams partook in the bike to work challenge last May and June.
They rode a total of 59,380 kilometers within 2 months compared to 41,548 kilometers in 2022. Across the entire initiative 97,616 enthusiastic cyclists from 3,249 companies joined the challenge cycling over 708 times around the earth. 🌍

Congratulations and thank you to all the cyclists for their great achievement! ⭐👏
We are excited for next year's challenge.
