Interesting idea, isn't it?

In a survey of 1,202 American adults conducted by Capital Group, home of American Funds, and one of the world's leading investment management firms, survey participants ranked financial topics such as household earnings, retirement savings, debt and inheritances as the most taboo topics of discussion.

"Most Americans agree that talking about their finances is a social taboo. It's time to break that habit and inspire new, productive conversations about money, saving and investing," said Heather Lord, senior vice president and head of strategy and innovation at Capital Group. "Small changes in how people talk about their finances can yield significant returns over time. Confronting the money taboo head-on is one way to create a more financially secure future for one's self."

This is a very interesting idea, which we believe all of us should look into - are we comfortable speaking about our finances? If so, great- but if not...Why not?

What makes a perfect office space?

Organised desk - It is essential. No one can be productive if they are buried under paperwork, leftover food and a handful of cups.

Inspiring design - Try and create an environment you love. Use the colours use like. Add a book or plants to your space to make it more lively!

Correct lighting - As we are working on computers mostly (and sometimes long hours) it is important to use the correct task light.

Stay hydrated - We often get caught up with work, so make sure you always keep water by your side.

Listen to podcast or good music - The right kind of music can increase your concentration, while a podcast may entertain or educate you during your working hours. Win-win, right?

Is it a necessity or not? ☕

Many say buying take away coffee is like throwing money out the window.

“I wouldn’t buy a cup of coffee anywhere, ever — and I can afford it — because I would not insult myself by wasting money that way” - says Suze Orman, author of Women and Money.

She say this money should be put into work and into savings, which is a smart idea. Here is her example:

Let’s say you spend around $100 on coffee each month. If you were to put that $100 into a Roth IRA instead, after 40 years the money would have grown to around $1 million with a 12 percent rate of return. Even with a seven percent rate of return, you’d still have around $250,000.
“You need to think about it as: You are peeing $1 million down the drain as you are drinking that coffee,” Orman says. “Do you really want to do that? No.”

We absolutely agree with her on being smart about money. However, no one will blame you if you need an occasional latte. 😉

Every company must finance herself. If they get money for their projects they can launch new products and services. If nobody gives money to finance new coal energy plants, no plants will be build. With investing in a sustainable bond fund you have this influence too.
