We have already introduced ourselves and our products in our previous posts, and now we want to discuss the technologies we use in more detail, including a face recognition function integrated into our ACE machines.

What does it mean?
Face Recognition is a technology that enables people to access online services, physical settings, and other features after scanning their face image.

Why do we need the Face Recognition function?
We added this function as our variant of KYC. Also, it follows the rules of AML regulations to ensure a client's limits in currency exchange transactions.

In the Face Recognition function, the person’s identity stays anonymous, and we cannot see his/her face or biometric data. Meanwhile, a special device stores and encrypts the biometrics and sends us a unique client ID. It shows the client's previous money exchanges and his/her limit for these transactions.

We are planning to use the Face Recognition function not only in our ACE machines but in our future projects too.

In conclusion
The Face Recognition function works as if an actual cashier were operating the money exchange process. That has a sense in legislative regulation of financial transactions in different countries and makes opening and installing currency exchange machines (or any other financial self-service machines) possible in those countries where otherwise it is against the law.
