Today, we pause to honor First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities, and to remember the children who never returned home.
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is an opportunity to listen, learn about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, and reflect on the responsibility we all share in advancing reconciliation.
May we carry these lessons forward with respect, humility, and a commitment to meaningful understanding.
Every Child Matters.
