Bank of Canada dropped the rate by 0.50 %
More to come IMO. Inflation is in line and unemployment rate is to high. What could prevent more rate cuts is our low dollar. IMO a change to a Conservative government will help our dollar.

This morning the Bank of Canada announced that it is holding its key interest rate at 5.00% in response to current economic forecasts. Visit the following link to read the full announcement:

The Bank of Canada today held its target for the overnight rate at 5%, with the Bank Rate at 5¼% and the deposit rate at 5%. The Bank is continuing its policy of quantitative tightening.
