I have spent most of my life in Woodstock without ever really knowing much about the cadet program. Thanks to my son Isaac, I now know what a hidden gem this program is for young people and our community. Yes, there is a military theme, but it is really about teaching the kids responsibility, respect, leadership, physical fitness and community involvement.
These are a great group of kids and they need our support, for their sake and the sake of our community. Consider supporting them in their community efforts in the future or in attending the Vimy Ridge Victory Ball on April 13, 2023.

Want to feel old? The song "I'm an Adult Now" from The Pursuit of Happiness came out in 1986. This month, the lead singer, Moe Berg is eligible for Old Age Security. He is still going strong, playing with the Trans-Canada Highwaymen. I personally would like to see him release a new single entitled "I'm a Senior Now".

Sarah and I were in Halifax recently at the 2023 Tradition of Excellence celebration to receive the Ovation award. The award was given for being consistently in the Top 100 advisors across Canada with Manulife Securities for the past ten years. Today is Friday. I think my brain stopped working on Wednesday (the last day of RRSP season). I was running low on energy and I decided to check the kitchen for some sort of snack, knowing that I was unlikely to find anything. At that exact moment, Melissa let me know that Darcy Culberson stopped by from Highlift Auto with some Timbits. Thank-you Darcy.
Mark and Darcy and Highlift Auto have been excellent community members and are celebrating 20 years in business. I have always received good service and advice at their business and wish them continued success.
Thanks to their sugar-coated with sprinkles on top surprise, I should be able to make it to the weekend with my sanity intact.
