👋 Meet Werner Barnard, one of our new Board of Directors! 👋

I relocated with my family from South Africa and arrived in the Valley in June 2020 filled with hope, to start a new career and a new life in Canada. I can confidently say that, after two years, all our expectations of living and working in Canada have been exceeded and my family and I are very blessed and happy to be here.
I currently serve as the President of Eden Valley Poultry Incorporated in Berwick. I have a passion for food processing and agriculture, having spent the majority of my career in related businesses.
My business philosophy is to be people-centric and to strive for excellence. In addition to this, I am a life-long learner, fueled by my thirst for knowledge and my goal of continuous self-improvement. I am passionately curious about people, business, and the ongoing changes in the world around me.
I believe in being an active part of the community and giving back in ways that can add value and benefit. I was very excited to be invited to be a part of the AVCC and I will use this opportunity, my experience in serving on NPO boards, as well as my professional experiences to contribute to the AVCC and the community it serves.
