Welcoming my new assistant, Abby Phair.

Abby grew up in a small town in southwest Manitoba. She moved to the big city in 2012 and brought her house in ste Agathe in 2015.

She has two beautiful boys who keep her busy. In her free time, she enjoys watching the Denver Broncos, even if they aren’t doing so great.

Abby enjoys travelling around the world with her husband, Zane. One of her favourite places she visited was Rome, Italy. One place she would like to travel is Cape Town, South Africa to go cage diving with great white sharks.

Abby started working with Scott January 2024 and is looking forward to meeting all of you.

No matter where you are on your retirement savings journey, here’s what you need to know about inflation, and what steps you can take to protect your plans for retirement.

1. Don't leave money on the table - Regular contributions leverage the power of compounding interest to take advantage of growth over time and combat inflation

2. Have cash on hand for emergencies- Build an emergency fund of 3-6 months’ worth of living expenses, preferably in a savings account like a TFSA

3. Diversify- Investing across different asset classes can help balance risk and reward while reducing volatility over time

4. Stay Invested - Acting impulsively out of fear in the short term can have a significant, negative impact on your retirement portfolio over the long term

5. Talk to an advisor - I can help you assess your finances and suggest long term solutions that help you protect your retirement strategy from inflation
