The Catholic Foundation of Manitoba is inviting Manitoba registered charities to apply for a grant to support charitable programs and projects that benefit the Catholic community and the wider community.

💙 Funding may support:
• Existing charitable programs
• New programs or “seed” funding
• One-time special projects
• Initiatives that care for those in need, educate youth, or promote Catholic values

Last week, BCU Financial was proud to support the Winnipeg Ukrainian Golf Classic by sponsoring a hole and entering a team in the tournament. I was especially happy to be out on the course representing BCU this year.

This year's beneficiary, the O. Koshetz Choir, is also very close to my heart. I'm proud to be a member of this incredible choir and to see our Ukrainian community come together in support of its continued work.

A wonderful day of golf, community, and Ukrainian spirit.

How much of your portfolio is riding the AI wave?

Love it or hate it, AI has been a significant driver of market attention and returns in 2026.

When one area of the market has attracted a lot of attention and delivered strong returns, it can be tempting to keep adding to what is already working.

But recent market volatility has also been a good reminder of how quickly things can change. The investments leading the market today will not necessarily be the ones leading next year, or even next month.

Diversification is not about watering down your returns or avoiding great investments. It is about making sure your financial future does not depend too heavily on one company, one sector, or one investment theme continuing to outperform.
