I've got some big news: I've made the difficult decision to leave the Mortgage industry.
It's been an incredible 6 years. But I've been feeling it's time for a change for a while now.
Recently, the opportunity to join the Insurance industry presented itself. I'm still working out the details, but it's happening!
As such, I'll not really "need" this page anymore, so I'll be shutting it down shortly.
I can still be found on Instagram, though!
I'd like to thank everyone for these last 6 years. It's been a ride, and I've had lots of fun. But it's on to new adventures! lookingforward

Another 0.25% decrease in the BoC rate this morning.

So anyone with a Variable Rate will see their rate go down soon.

Fixed rates not yet, but there are signs that they MAY follow suit over time. But that's not guaranteed by any means.

Next meeting isn't until September, so no point in speculation on what will happen then just yet.

As always, thank you to Trading Economics website for the info.

As I guessed, we see a dip in inflation in June, back to where it was in April.

This, combined with the info I mentioned yesterday from the US, as well as our own increasing unemployment data, points to a higher possibility of another rate cut next week.

That said, I still wouldn't be entirely surprised if the BoC holds next week. But a cut does seem like a strong possibility again.
