What are you saving for?

It sounds like a simple question, but Doug has been thinking about it a lot lately.

After losing two clients to cancer in a very short period of time, one thing became painfully clear: they had both worked hard, saved responsibly and prepared for retirement — but didn't get nearly enough time to enjoy everything they had built.

Financial planning absolutely needs to protect tomorrow.

But it should make room for today, too.
Take the trip. Make your home a place you love. Spend time with your family. Make the memories — when your plan says you can.

Doug shares a very personal perspective in his latest blog:
Live for today. Plan for tomorrow.

When people think about financial planning, they often focus on investment returns.
But some of the most important planning conversations have very little to do with markets at all.

Questions like:
• What does financial success look like to you?
• What are you trying to protect?
• How much flexibility do you want in your future?

In his latest blog, Sean explores the questions that often matter more than investment returns—and why getting started is the most important step, regardless of your financial situation.

Financial confidence isn't something you're born with.
It's something you build.

And it usually starts with small habits—not big life changes.

In Samantha's latest blog, she shares five simple money habits that can help you feel more in control of your finances, no matter where you're starting.

✔ Pay yourself first
✔ Build an emergency fund
✔ Know where your money is going
✔ Review your goals
✔ Ask questions

Which of these habits has made the biggest difference for you?

Where does your money actually go each month?

Not where you think it goes…

Where it actually goes.

One of the first conversations we have with new clients isn't about investments—it's about understanding their monthly expenses.
Hydro.
Groceries.
Fuel.
Insurance.
Subscriptions.
Dining out.

When you know where your money is going, you can build a plan that helps reduce debt, lower financial stress, and create confidence for the future.

That's where financial planning really begins.

When you're making an important decision, getting a second opinion often feels like the responsible thing to do.

So why should financial decisions be any different?

In his latest blog, Sean explores the value of a financial second opinion and how another perspective can help create clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

He also shares an important reminder: you don't need to have everything figured out before you start planning. Taking the first step is often the most important part.

Financial success isn't only about becoming wealthy.

Sometimes it's finally paying off a credit card.
Building your first emergency fund.
Opening your first TFSA.
Or simply feeling less stressed about money than you did a year ago.

In Samantha's latest blog, she shares why these everyday milestones deserve to be celebrated—and why progress matters more than perfection.

For many business owners and farm families, work isn't just a job—it's part of who you are.

The business helps support your family, your future, and often your community too.
That's why financial planning looks different.

In our latest blog, Nico talks about why your financial plan should reflect more than just numbers—it should reflect your goals, your family, and the life you're building.

One of the best pieces of advice I've ever heard has nothing to do with money:
Motion is lotion.

The older we get, the more important it becomes to keep moving.
Not because we're training for a marathon.

Because we want to travel, play with our grandchildren, enjoy retirement, stay independent, and continue doing the things we love.

In my latest blog, I share why stretching, moving, and breaking a sweat every day may be one of the best investments you can make in yourself.
