Market uncertainty is nothing new, but that doesn’t make it any easier to ignore the headlines.

When markets feel unpredictable, it can be tempting to make changes based on fear or uncertainty. Often, the better approach is to step back and focus on the long-term plan.

This is also a great reminder of the value of working with a financial advisor. Having someone in your corner to provide perspective, keep you focused on your goals, and take some of the emotion out of investment decisions can make a big difference... especially during periods of market volatility.

Successful investing isn’t about reacting to every market move. It’s about having a strategy you can stick with through them.

One of the biggest risks to long-term wealth isn't always making the wrong investment... sometimes it's not investing at all.

A recent survey found that nearly half of Canadians are holding cash they could be investing, often because of uncertainty or fear of market volatility. While those feelings are completely understandable, waiting on the sidelines has a cost too.

Last week, I had the pleasure of speaking at Hustle & Charm’s 3rd Annual Roundtable Summit.

I connected with dozens of female entrepreneurs and business leaders in our community, and engaged in important discussions about how to build wealth while building a business.

With each 30 minute session, the conversations shifted between solidifying corporate structure, when to make the leap from sole proprietor, how to protect your business with insurance and much more.

It was a fabulous event, and I thank for inviting me and curating a room full of amazing women.

If we met at the event, I would love to connect further, and if you couldn’t make it but want to chat about any of the topics I mentioned, or finance in general, my door is always open.
